Here's a small selection of graphic design work I have done for the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council over the last few years.
Two booklets, one with 104 pages and the other one with 29 pages.
Graphic design of press ad for dlr Celebration of Volunteerism.
Press ad for the local Gazette.
This Christmas Campaign has been running for the last three years. It started out with the design of a simple parking sticker. This year I designed several newspaper ads, big posters, big belly bin ads, etc.
The Office of the Nursing and Midwifery Services Director (ONMSD) works to strategically lead and support nurses and midwives to deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred care. The ONMSD includes 8 Nursing and Midwifery Planning and Development Units (NMPDUs), 20 HSE Centres of Nursing and Midwifery Education (CNMEs) and The National Clinical Leadership Centre.
All these entities used to have their own logo identity, which could make communication challenging. Now they all share the same logo icon. The circle denotes continuity and the N & M letters signify the importance of the connectivity between the two professions. In order to symbolise Nursing and Midwifery in Ireland, these words are made prominent in the logo.
May was great to work with from the start to the finish of our project. She sat and listened, designed and listened again and then redesigned until we got our logo right for the organisation! We are really happy with the end result.
Loretto Grogan, Director of Nursing, National Clinical Information Officer - Nursing and Midwifery
TED is a global community, which hosts global conferences, welcoming people from every discipline and culture who seek a deeper understanding of the world. On TED.com, you’ll find a clearing house of free knowledge from the world’s most inspired thinkers.
TEDx events are operated under the TED licence by hard-working volunteers for the benefit of their local community. I have been a volunteer since the wonderful Janie Lazar started TEDxDunLaoghaire in 2018. Design of visuals is a part of my "job".
Trumpet are very much part of the TEDx Dun Laoghaire Team and as volunteers, we know we can rely on each other to ‘do our best’ under pressure. Not only are we putting on a high profile local event representing a global brand, we are building a local brand and our reputations are inextricably linked with it. To have strong, clear event branding communicates professionalism and thanks to May Sivertsen, we have clarity in creativity, which works well across all communication. Working with May has been and continues to be a pleasure to get to know and work with.

Optimal nutrition, a great lifestyle balance, and nurturing the self are all equally important in delivering maximum health.
I was at the beginning of starting up my business and needed a brand identity and a logo. A friend recommended I talk to May Sivertsen of Trumpet. I met with May and immediately knew I had made the right decision. May explored many areas of my brand with me and really took the time to fully understand my brand proposition, my objectives and indeed help develop my brand story.
May dug deep to understand the personality of my brand and how I saw it differently to competitors. May digested all of the information and the result was a beautiful simple clean logo. May really took the time to understand what I really wanted to convey and reflected that into one simple piece of design. May was so enthusiastic and willing throughout the whole process, her passion for design and brands & attention to detail is inspiring and I would have no hesitation in recommending May.

Here's Leanne, who did all the design work on this Annual Report for Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, apart from my front cover. These infographics below are just a few of many.
Trumpet Branding & Design have worked with Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council on both large and small scale design projects. Design of logo, photography and a very simple website for the very talented Michelin trained gourmet chef Tracy Rennie.
May is wonderful to work with, she has a fantastic clear and precise vision and a totally can-do attitude. She has great ability to hear what you need as a client and then create beautifully. I highly recommend May.

Equally important is what businesses can do to fight climate change and this new business, named The Environmental Edge is set up by John Barcroft to help businesses reach their green goals.
Large corporations make up the majority of the GDP, they are the engines in developed societies. If they change, it will have a huge impact.
We probably all share John's eco-friendly vision but if we all started copying what John is actually doing, well, then I know Greta Thunberg would be a happier girl!
Here's a sample page from the Design Guidelines I developed as part of the Branding, to make his presentations look in line with his vision.
This is a collaboration between the National Clinical Leadership Centre for Nursing and Midwifery (NCLC) and the Health and Social Care Professions (HSCPs). The logo communicates Collective Leadership and Competency and it should come across as accessible, empowering and inspiring: You can do this!
This was the first logo I designed for the HSE. Since then I have designed several others and a testimonial can be read by clicking here.
AnyMan, formerly known as Amen, is the only dedicated national service supporting Men experiencing Domestic Violence in Ireland. With over 20 years in supporting and delivering programmes on a national framework they are the “go to” service for many thousands of Men suffering in Ireland. They provide specialist counselling, practical information and legal options, as well as support.
The name change was well overdue. The client had already come up with the new name AnyMan, but we spent a day brain-storming just to make sure that this was the most suitable name.
The icon for this logo is in the shape of the two letters A and M.
This shape could also illustrate a mountain. The idea of climbing a mountain is to feel you can master this, you can do it! You will get through this. It is an optimistic symbol and it communicates confidence. This very much appeals to the target audience; a male going through a tough time, feeling vulnerable and lacking in self confidence.
No better venue for the launch of the new logo for AnyMan than the beautiful Royal College of Surgeons. And no better Chairman than Owen Connolly, who made a wonderful speech just before the logo was revealed.
Brand identity for a culture led consultancy start up. The open ‘W’ reflects their value of being open-minded. They are also driven and focused and this is communicated by the ‘W’ going upwards which also illustrates success for their clients.
Thank you so much for designing my logo and brand, I love the final result. I really enjoyed working with you, you captured the essence of my business perfectly.

Logo for a collaboration of organisations working towards evidence based information on nutrition and diet
May designed a new logo for us at the National Nutrition Alliance, a collaboration of organisations working towards evidence based information on nutrition and diet. She was fantastic to deal with and we love the end result incorporating the Irish Food Pyramid into the design. I have no hesitation recommending May for all your branding project needs.

The client, Nuala Woulfe, wanted her branding for the Serenity Day Spa updated. However, she wanted to keep certain elements from the existent branding, including the two S's for the icon. Here's the old logo:
And here's the new one:
I found May very professional to deal with. She listened to the brief and designed a logo to match. I can happily recommend May.

I designed anything from appointment cards and gift vouchers to beautiful gift bags and tissue paper. Here's a Christmas ad:
The Irish Nutrition and Dietetic Institute are celebrating 60 years this year and I have designed their anniversary logo and various material for the event, including these banners and posters with timeline illustrations.
The timeline facts make for a good read. If you click on the image below you'll get a more legible file opening as a PDF in a new window.
May is fantastic to deal with and we love the end result. I have no hesitation recommending May for all your branding project needs.

PacSana is an unobtrusive aide that records unexpected or sudden changes in movement patterns in the home, enabling active elderly to extend their independence.
The name Pacsana is a made-up name. The idea came from the two latin words Pax and Sana. Pax means peace. Sana means mind. Using the ‘x’ in the name did not sound reassuring enough in my opinion, though, so we changed it to a ‘c’.
The silicone wrist band remains in constant contact with two or more gateways located around the home. The “p’ in the logo is shaped as a bracelet and you can see the icon on these PacSana bracelets:
May did a terrific job for us. She was great to work with. She got the brief immediately and produced a stunning logo and supporting materials that clearly identify the brand we are creating. I look forward to working with her in the future.

Important channel diversification: Develop a name and visual identity for a Medical Aesthetic ‘clinic’ to replace the current Nuala Woulfe Beauty Salon on Glasthule Road in Sandycove.
A new word, a new meaning; 'nu' are the first two letters in Nuala Woulfe's name. It also sounds like the word NEW which works well for this clinic as that's how you will feel after a treatment in this wonderful clinic. The logo communicates a clean and professional environment for the most experienced skin clinic in Dublin.
I requested May to come up with some ideas re name, branding & logo for my clinic Nu Aesthetics in Glasthule. I found May very professional to deal with. She listened to the brief and designed a logo to match. I can happily recommend May.
Nuala Woulfe, Nu Aesthetics
Both the interior and the exterior needed proper facelifts. And Botox too. We used the blue-ish brand colour for some of the inside walls. Here's a 'before and after' photograph of the exterior:
