Cultivating the right mind-set is very important. Appreciate past successes but don’t get too over-confident. Think of past failures as invaluable learning experiences. Set your goals starting as if you have already arrived. Or, to put it into Charles Haddon Spurgeon's (1834-92) much better words: ‘Begin as you mean to go on, and go on as you began’.
